2006 Award Recipient

Through a grant from the Dr. Om Arora family, the TMS Foundation has established the Shri Ram Arora International Award for Materials Science and Engineering Education as a means of perpetuating their father's quest for continual learning and academic challenge. The award recognizes, encourages, and supports the quest for knowledge with the international materials science and engineering community.

Krishanu Biswas Biography: Krishanu Biswas is a research student in the Metallurgy Department of the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India, where he is working on his doctorate in metallurgical engineering. He worked for one year at Tata Motors Jamshedpur plant researching the feasibility of polymer quenching of leaf springs used for heavy vehicles. He has participated in various TMS related symposium and activities.
