Present Your Work to an International Audience . . .
|
. . . at the TMS 2009 Annual Meeting
Why should you present a paper at the TMS 2009 Annual Meeting? TMS can think of at least two good reasons:
1. You can present your research before an international audience of your peers: 43% of our attendees live outside the United States.
2. Your research may be published: As a presenter, your paper will be eligible to be published in the conference proceedings. The TMS 2009 Collected Proceedings CD will be distributed on-site to all attendees.
The TMS 2009 Annual Meeting will be held February 15–19 in San Francisco, California. Nearly 60 symposia are planned. To submit an abstract, click on the following link and select the symposium that is the best fit for your work. Hurry, abstracts are due July 15.... SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT
Issue Focuses on High-Temperature Alloys and Refractory Metals
In the July issue, JOM presents papers on high-temperature alloys research and current applications of refractory metals, organized by Gerhard E. Fuchs of the University of Florida and Jim Ciulik at the University of Texas at Austin. A feature on the worldwide technological cycles of nickel and chromium, essential alloy ingredients, complements this month's technical topics. Also in this issue, meet the nominees for the 2009 TMS Board of Directors, learn how TMS is engaging in the emerging field of integrated computational materials engineering, and find out what really sank the Titanic.
The on-line version of the journal, which is now available, includes an enhanced version of the article "The Three-Dimensional Reconstruction of the Dendritic Structure at the Solid-Liquid Interface of a Ni-Based Single Crystal" by J. Madison, J.E. Spowart, D.J. Rowenhorst, and T.M. Pollock. This article, open to all readers, and the entire issue of the journal, open to TMS members and subscribers, can be accessed through the following link.... READ JOM
