The Hycast division of Hydro Aluminium is located nearby the Sunndal plant in Norway. In addition to the main office, Hycast has a US office in Louisville and are also working closely together with other Hydro offices world wide. Hycast is responsible for important activity of Hydro, and is capable of supplying the aluminum industry with the following equipment:

1) Melt Refining Systems;

2) RAM (removal of alkaline metal) systems; and

3) Gasslip Hot-Top mold systems for multistrand billet casting (not for sale outside Hydro).

In addition to being an equipment supplier, Hycast has high competence in all aluminum casthouse processes, by having skilled personnel in metallurgy, casthouse operation, engineering and automation.
