Milward manufactures aluminum and copper based "master alloys" for industries that melt and cast aluminum and copper metals. Master alloys are precisely calculated combinations of metal elements, occasionally with chemical additives, formed into particular alloying compounds Milward's line of master alloys for the aluminum industry include grain refiners, modifiers, and hardeners. The Company also produces Beryllium-Aluminum alloys designed to control oxidation and reduce magnesium loss. These alloys are produced utilizing an induction melting & alloying process followed by static mold or direct chill continuous casting.
