DEDICATION

Each symposium is dedicated to a distinguished honoree to mark his/her outstanding contrubutions to the field of superalloys. Previous dedicatees include Clarence G. Beiber (2nd symposium, 1972), Falih N. Darmara (3rd symposium, 1976), Rudolf H. Thielemann (4th symposium, 1980), Gunther Mohling (5th symposium, 1984), Herbert L. Eiselstein (6th symposium, 1988), Carl Lund (7th symposium, 1992), John F. Radavich (8th symposium, 1996), and Wilford "Red" H. Couts, Jr. (9th symposium, 2000). The honoree for the 2004 symposium has yet to be announced.
