The symposium will be dedicated to a distinguished honoree to mark his or her contribution to the field of superalloys.

An award will be made for the best paper based on these criteria:

1. Originality (30%)
   The paper should represent original work not previously published in the open literature.

2. Technical Content (30%)
   Data presented and data analysis should reflect a sound knowledge of the field and a rational scientific approach.

3. Industry Pertinence (30%)
   The study should describe a contribution that is useful to the industry and which promises to have wide future impact on gas turbine and/or high performance material technology.

4. Clarity and Style (10%)
   Paper must be presented in a clear and lucid style.
