MAYAN RUINS TOUR

Mayan Ruins of Tulum Activity
Thursday, October 16 • 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Less than two hours from Cancun lay the ancient walled city of Tulum. The only known Mayan city built alongside the setting sun, it is magnificently situated atop a cliff overlooking the crystal-blue Caribbean Sea and its surrounding jungle. It is one of the most famous landmarks in the Maya world and is one of the largest fortified Mayan sites along the Quintana Roo coastline.

Tour fee of $60 includes: deluxe air-conditioned units with soft drinks and purified water; one official tourism guide in English/Spanish; admission to archeological site; cold fresh towels after visiting Tulum Ruins; round-trip trolley transportation to Mayan Ruins; IIT staff and 10% federal tax.

XEL-HA NATURAL AQUARIUM

Natural Aquarium of Xel-Ha Activity
Thursday, October 16 • 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Xel-Ha is located 15 minutes from Tulum, where nature has created incredible caves, inlets and lagoons. Fish from the Caribbean take refuge in placid waters of Hei-Ha, where fresh waters from nearby streams mix with the ocean. Snorkelers can mingle with these multi-colored fish. The park also offers all modern amenities and services.

Tour fee of $110 includes: deluxe air-conditioned units with soft drinks and purified water; admission to Xel-Ha; use of Xel-Ha facilities: showers, restrooms, snorkel gear, etc.; lunch at any park restaurant; open domestic bar at park; IIT staff and 10% federal tax.

CANCUN SHOPPING TOUR

Cancun Shopping Tour
Tuesday, October 14 • 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Shop Cancun’s colorful wares: silver, turquoise and black coral are commercial. Good buys include ceramics weavings, and hand-embroidered dresses and blouses. Find wood carvings of Mayan and Aztec symbols. Mexican crafts can also be found in air-conditioned shopping centers in the Hotel Zone such as Plaza La Isla, Cancun’s newest shopping area.

Tour fee of $45 includes: deluxe air-conditioned large van with soft drinks and bottled water; shopping tour at Market 28 downtown; fresh towels after tour; downtown area map, exchange rate card, sign with name/logo of program at unit; IIT Staff and 10% federal tax and gratuities.
