Affiliate Memberships Available to TMS Members

As a benefit of membership, TMS members have the opportunity to join the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) and the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) at special rates.

Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM³)
TMS members may become “e-partners” with IOM³ and receive the following online benefits.

• Electronic Journal Subscriptions

Indian Institute of Metals (IIM)
IIM offers “international affiliate membership” to TMS members with the following benefits:

• Electronic Subscription to Metal News
  Metal News is IIM’s bimonthly journal that explores the many aspects of materials science and engineering with topical overviews, research summaries, news of the field, general interest articles and IIM news.
• IIM Members-Only Web Site
  Access the IIM members-only Web site, including the IIM membership directory, a searchable database which contains a complete list of active IIM members; the online version of Metal News; member rosters, agendas, and archive documents of all IIM technical and administrative committees.
• Technical Divisions
  Participate in the institute’s three technical divisions; Iron & Steel Division, Nonferrous Division, and Metal Sciences Division.

TMS members have two ways to join one or both of these societies:

• Complete and submit the Affiliation Membership Application for TMS members. Log in is required.
• Select the appropriate box on your dues renewal form, during the TMS dues renewal process.

After joining, you will receive information directly from IOM³ or IIM about how to access your benefits. The affiliate membership benefit period is from Jan.1 through Dec. 31.
