About TMS Membership

TMS Corporate Memberships are designed especially for individuals seeking opportunities to promote their organization, its services and employees. Any industrial organization with an interest in the minerals, metals, and materials profession and/or employing individuals who meet the TMS member criteria may become a TMS Corporate Member.

As a corporate member, you can become a key part of TMS activities meant to strengthen communication and cooperation between industry and academia, take advantage of the technological and professional information available at TMS conferences, in TMS publications, and on the TMS Web Site. Corporate members also help identify and provide for the needs of emerging industrial sectors through timely technical programming and discuss inter-industry issues with other Corporate Members from other technical and geographical areas and promote corporate cooperation.

Additionally, each Corporate Member level allows your organization to select individuals to serve as representative members to TMS. Please take a moment to review the list of incentives available for each corporate member level before selecting the one best suited for your organization's needs.

BECOMING A TMS CORPORATE MEMBER

Individuals serving as Corporate Member representatives must qualify for TMS membership. In future years, TMS Corporate Members will be sent a renewal notice for the following year on July 15th; if corporate members do not renew by September 1st, TMS will attempt to retain Corporate Member representatives as individual memberships through the renewal notice process. All TMS memberships are for calendar year, January 1-December 31.

Important: Be sure you understand the grades of membership and their requirements (right). In order to become a member of TMS, one must be active in the scientific community by participating in the day-to-day technical advancements of the minerals, metals, and materials profession, by serving on technical committees, by publishing technical research papers, by organizing technical symposia, etc.

If Your Member Representatives Are New to TMS

Select the Corporate Member Level appropriate for your organization
Complete the Corporate Membership Application and submit with complete payment to TMS.
After your Corporate Membership Application has been processed, you will receive notification and a Corporate Membership Identification Number. Use this number to register your representative members.
Select the individuals you would like to have serve as representative members of TMS
Have each representative member complete the TMS Corporate Membership Representative Application.

Please allow 6-8 weeks for member representatives' subscriptions to JOM to begin. All other Society benefits/services will be available to your member representatives immediately after application processing (approximately 1 week). Your corporate member certificate/plaque (if applicable) will be sent to your organization within 6-8 weeks after receipt of membership(s).

If Your Member Representatives Are Already TMS Members

Select the Corporate Member Level appropriate for your organization
Complete the Corporate Membership Application and submit with complete payment to TMS.
After your Corporate Membership Application has been processed, you will receive notification and a Corporate Membership Identification Number. Use this number to register your representative members.
Select the individuals you would like to have serve as representative members of TMS
Have each representative member complete the TMS Corporate Membership Representative Application by simply providing the Corporate Membership Identification Number and their full name and TMS Member Number.

Your corporate member certificate/plaque (if applicable) will be sent to your organization within 6-8 weeks after receipt of membership(s).

TMS Corporate Member ($500):

Up to 2 complimentary individual TMS memberships
Reduced rates for advertising and classified ads in JOM, the Society journal, and on TMS OnLine
The TMS member discount on all Society conference proceedings and textbook purchases (30% off the list price)
One complimentary use of the TMS mailing list per year
Inclusion in the list of TMS Corporate Members annually published in JOM and on TMS OnLine
