Robert W. Bartlett

Lecture Title: "Metal Extraction from Ores by Heap Leaching"

Biography: Robert W. Bartlett is dean of the College of Mines and Earth Resources at the University of Idaho. He received his B.S. in metallurgical engineering and his Ph.D. in metallurgy at the University of Utah in 1953 and 1961, respectively. During his career, he has conducted and managed R&D in industry at Anaconda Minerals Company, SRI International, and Kennecott Minerals Company and in academia at Stanford University and the University of Idaho. He is the author or coauthor of 90 articles on process metallurgy and related fields, 11 patents, and one textbook. A past president of TMS (1989), he has received numerous honors.
