W. Evans

and dedication to education and training for the benefit of the aluminum
industry and TMS."
Biography: James W. Evans is a professor of metallurgy at the
University of California, Berkeley. He earned a B.S. in chemistry from
the University of London in 1964 and a Ph.D. from the State University
of New York in 1970. He has authored more than 250 publications, including
three books, and holds seven patents.
