Robert L. Snyder

Citation: "For his energetic leadership in materials science and engineering education and in materials characterization by automated x-ray powder diffraction analysis."

Biography: Robert L. Snyder is professor and chair of the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at The Ohio State University. He earned a B.A. in chemistry from Marist College in 1963 and a Ph.D. at Fordham University in 1968. He has authored two books, nine book chapters, and 230 publications; has edited seven books; holds eight patents; and has presented 1,000 lectures, including many invited and plenary lectures.
