The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society's Light Metals Division JOM Best Paper Award, established in 1994, is presented to the author(s) of a paper published in an issue of the preceding volume year of JOM under a light metals-related technical topic.

Paper Title:Magnesium for Automotive Applications: Primary Production Cost Assessment” published in the November 2003 issue of JOM.

Recipient PhotoSujit Das

Biography: Sujit Das is a research staff member of Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He has been a visiting fellow with Tata Energy Research Institute, New Delhi, India and has published numerous refereed articles on the technology and cost assessment of advanced vehicle and lightweight materials technologies.
