Recipient: 2006 Light Metals Division Technology Award

The LMD Technology Award, established in 1995, recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding long-term service to the light metals industry by consistently providing technical and/or operating knowledge that has enhanced the competitiveness of the industry.

Recipient Jan H.L. van Linden

Recipient PhotoCitation: For technical contributions and leadership resulting in enhanced competitiveness in aluminum recycling and dross treatment

Biography: Jan H.L. van Linden is president of Recycling Technology Services (RTS) Inc. in Pennsylvania, specializing in design and implementation of customized recycling processes and hardware for the aluminum industry.

He works with 40 customized melting facilities in the U.S. and 25 worldwide on minimizing process losses and optimizing productivity and efficiency. Dr. van Linden is also founding chair of the TMS Recycling Committee.
