TMS Bylaws: Article VII. Committees

Section 2.
The membership of Standing Committees shall be designated by the Board of Directors at each Annual Meeting of the Society.

Section 3.
Members of the Board of Directors, collectively or individually, or chairmen of standing committees, may designate such ad hoc committees as they may consider necessary or desirable. Ad hoc committees shall have their duties clearly defined and be discharged as soon as their reports are accepted or when their duties have been completed.
