INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?

There is still time to volunteer for an officer position or subcommittee. The officer positions are described below. Please e-mail Karen at ccura-eraslan@emsclad.com if you’re interested in volunteering.

  • Chair: Lead the TMS Boston Section with enthusiasm and integrity. Promote teamwork, membership growth, networking, and a learning environment. Oversee all business and activities of the TMS Boston Section in coordination with the Executive Committee and Subcommittees. Make decisions and recommendations regarding all TMS Boston Section business. Responsible for assigning tasks and monitoring activities of the Treasurer, Secretary, and Subcommittee Chairs.
  • Treasurer: Maintain checking account, safe deposit box and Exxon Mobil shares. Write a Treasurer’s report yearly to show all expenses, credits, and operating gains and losses. Attend events and collect dues and fees. Pay invoices and bills as needed. Make decisions and provide advice and recommendations to the Executive Committee on all money matters.
  • Secretary: Take and publish minutes from Executive Committee meetings. Maintain important documents of the TMS Boston Section. Assist with writing key documents, such as the Newsletter; Charter, Constitution and Bylaws; and web page. Keep track of action items from Executive Committee meetings and follow-up and track items to completion.
