2001 Fall Meeting Plenary Session Poster Contest Winner Announced

The TMS/SPE PAD Polymer Materials Conference Student Poster Session was held following the conference plenary session in conjunction with the 2001 TMS Fall Meeting in Indianapolis. Thirteen posters were presented, with first-place honors going to Ayush Bafna, Gregory Beaucage, Francis Mirabella, and Satish Sukumaran from the University of Cincinnati. The poster was titled “Haze in Blown Polyethylene Films: Relation Between Nano and Micronscale Orientation.” Second place went to M.L. Shofner, K. Lozano, F.J. Rodriguez-Macias, and E.V. Barrera from Rice University. The poster was titled “Nanofiber Reinforced Polymers Processed by Solid Freeform Fabrication.” TMS would like to congratulate the winners and thank all of those who participated.
