“First of all, I would like to thank the TMS/EPD scholarship committee for selecting me as an award winner. I feel much honored to know that I was selected out of so many applicants, and I intend to put this scholarship towards pursuing my graduate degree.” |
Extraction & Processing Division Scholarship Robert Laney, University of Alabama |
“This award represents to me what hard work and determination can accomplish, gifts that I can only attribute to God. I was not the student that scored a 36 on the ACT, but the student who stayed in the library until the early hours of the morning, working hard and trying to succeed. I can only hope this will encourage other students to work hard to achieve their goals.” |
Extraction & Processing Division Scholarship Matt Lyndoe, South Dakota School of Mines & Technology |
“I am not only pleased but honored to accept this award. This recognition has reinforced my belief that hard work is rewarded, and has inspired me to continue striving for excellence in such a crucial field as the science of metals. Professional societies like TMS value and encourage students to continue studying and researching, while at the same time assisting them financially to make it possible, knowing we are the leaders of tomorrow. Thank you for helping me achieve my professional goals. I am both humbled and grateful.” |
