Jessika Trancik, the 1997 TMS Presidential Scholarship winner, was recently one of 32 students in the United States to be named a Rhodes Scholar. She is the first woman engineer from Cornell to win the prestigious award. Among Jessika's other accolades are the Barry M. Goldwater National Scholarship, the 1996 USA Today Academic All-Star Team, 1996 Outstanding Scholar Award from the American Society of Metals, Class of 1997 John McMullen Dean's Scholarship, and a GE Foundation Faculty for the Future Undergraduate Research Experiences Program Grant.
