Don't Forget About Your Free Membership and Book!

If you are getting ready to graduate this spring, don't forget to sign up for your free membership and book from TMS!

Students graduating in 1997 are entitled to 1998 membership for free as an automatic junior member. Junior membership also entitles a former student to select one complimentary book from a list made available through the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers' (AIME's) Seeley W. Mudd Memorial Fund. (TMS is one of four member societies in AIME.)

Approval for junior membership is automatic for existing student members. However, you must complete an application form and return it to TMS. Contact Nellie Luther at TMS, 184 Thorn Hill Road, Warrendale, Pennsylvania 15086; (724) 776-9000, ext. 213; fax (724) 776-3770; e-mail natale@tms.org. The form is also available via the World Wide Web at http://www.tms.org/Society/AJMApplication.html.

If you wish to become actively involved in the technical and/or committee aspects of TMS, consider becoming a part of the Young Leaders Group. For more information, contact Tara Braden at TMS, (724) 776-9000, ext. 259; fax (724) 776-3770; e-mail tbraden@tms.org or visit the TMS Young Leaders page on TMS OnLine at http://www.tms.org/YoungLeaders/YoungLeaders.html.
