1998 TMS Annual Meeting--A Scrap Book from San Antonio

This year, 289 students registered and contributed to the record-breaking attendance at the 127th TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition.

ASM/TMS Chapters of Excellence were honored at the TMS Awards Dinner on Tuesday night. The chapters were the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa, University of British Columbia, University of Florida, University of Michigan, and Washington State University.

In San Antonio $37,500 was awarded to students, including travel reimbursements. Student monitors could earn $40 per session. Some of the students volunteering were from: Brown University, Dalhousie University, ESIQIE, Mexico, Georgia Institute of Technology, Louisiana State University, McGill University, Ohio State University, Queen's University, University of Alabama, University of Alberta, University of British Columbia, University of Florida, University of Idaho, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, University of Missouri-Rolla, University of Toronto, and Washington State University.
