TMS Is Ready To Visit Your School

Meeting programming for student chapters often relies heavily on local experts and professionals for technical and informational presentations at monthly meetings. Interaction with successful materials professionals and society representatives from outside the university's local area can enrich the student chapter's program to an appreciable extent.

As a student chapter, you may wish to invite TMS members or staff to visit your chapter. You may have a big event planned for which you would like some national exposure or you may want to draw upon the technical expertise of prominent members. Often staff or member visits are planned in conjunction with the TMS local section. Planning ahead is important in order to allow for busy schedules and travel arrangements.

Student chapters interested in scheduling a Board member/TMS staff visit should contact the TMS Education Department for information on individual availability. Student chapters may also access the TMS Speakers Bureau, which lists more than 100 potential speakers. The Speakers Bureau is available through TMS On-Line at http://www.tms.org/Society/Speakers.html.
