Student Leader Program
The TMS Student Leader Program was launched in
2000 with the objective of developing leadership
among the student population, to help recruit more graduate student members
for The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society,
and to enhance graduate and undergraduate participation in the society.

Goals |
- Establish
a graduate student network, by linking with a graduate student
in each student chapter.
These individuals are to serve as a graduate student liaison
for the chapter.
- Publicize
the Student Leader Program to all students, graduate and
undergraduate, and encourage individuals to serve as student
leaders in the coming years.
- Organize
career forums and other events at the TMS Annual Meetings.
- Develop
ideas for increasing the TMS presence
at graduate schools and provide feedback to TMS.
- Evaluate
benefits provided by TMS to
students and develop new ideas for how TMS can
better serve the student community.
