A TMS Job and Financial Security Resource Center Update
Posted on:

In response to member suggestions, TMS has developed an online library of practical resources to assist those who are launching or who have already established engineering consulting practices. The Consultant Tool Box, as it is called, includes sample business plans and model contracts, articles offering business development advice, links to professional directories and other networking resources, and access to organizations that can provide information and support on tax, legal, and management issues.
The Consultant Tool Box joins the TMS e-Mentoring Program as the newest additions to the TMS Job and Financial Security Resource Center. TMS e-Mentoring allows you to conveniently and confidentially pose questions to a highly experienced TMS member on career issues and options, as well as seek advice on strategies for ensuring your continued professional growth.
To access both of these resources, log on to the TMS Members Only home page and select either “Consultant Resources” or “e-Mentor Program” from the tool bar on the left.

"I am very honored to be nominated and awarded the 2010 Educator Award. I have been a member of TMS since 1979 and consider TMS to be the "professional home" of metallurgical and materials engineer worldwide. TMS has provided me with the communication, networking, and professional interaction that I have needed for the past 30 years and also provides excellent support and interaction for materials in higher education."
