to promote the global science and engineering professions concerned with minerals, metals and materials, is seeking candidates for a Controller position.
The position reports to the Deputy Executive Director and will be responsible for all aspects of financial operations, including: financial management,
reporting and forecasting; financial analysis and recommendations; investments review; cash management; financial and accounting policies and procedures;
and budgeting. In addition to supervising the Finance Department, this position also supervises the Information Technology and Customer and Administrative
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business, CPA preferred, ten+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least five
years supervisory/management experience, experience with non-profit organizations preferred. In addition, s/he will have the following attributes: strong
analytical skills and the ability to leverage those skills to provide sound advice in making critical strategic and operational decisions; excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop and deliver effective presentations; technological proficiency with accounting
systems (Great Plains, FRX preferred) and Microsoft Office; and willingness and ability to be hands-on with the details.
