Job Summary: The successful candidate is expected to study physical properties of permanent magnets by applying and developing computational methods based on statistical physics in collaboration with NIMS Principal Researcher, Masamichi Nishino, and Seiji Miyashita's group in the University of Tokyo. This study will focus in particular on magnetization reversal and propagation, nucleation, response properties, etc.

Qualification:  The applicant should hold a PhD degree, or should be expecting to obtain one by March 31, 2018. Familiarity with condensed matter physics, as well as a working knowledge on programming skills for simulations is required.
