The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society's newsletters are sent out regularly in an effort to keep TMS members and friends up to date on upcoming deadlines, events, conferences and symposia, and other news of interest. Professional Preface
A newsletter designed for students and their faculty leaders, Professional Preface is periodically printed and inserted in the society's journal, JOM. It offers information and advice on careers, outlines services available to student members, presents chapter activities, and includes other items of interest to the professional-to-be.

TMS Foundation News
TMS Foundation News is a newsletter that is distributed regularly in JOM and it provides information on the most recent developments within the TMS Foundation. The mission of the TMS Foundation is "To engage the finest young minds in the design, processing and application of materials by stimulating the dynamic evolution of our educational and professional infrastructures." As part of this mission, the Foundation seeks to develop and fund programs that fully prepare future generations of professionals for leadership roles in the international minerals, metals, and materials community.
