Gamma Titanium Aluminides Available Now from TMS
Warrendale, PA – A collection of papers covering the latest developments in the study of Gamma Titanium Aluminides is now available from TMS (The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society).
This collection of papers from the 2003 TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition will deal with all aspects of gamma alloy technology, including:
-
Basic Understanding: phase relations/transformation, alloy development and design, process development, mechanical behavior, microstructure-property relationships, and environmental effects
- Materials Technology: casting, ingot metallurgy, powder metallurgy, hot-working and forming, fabrication and joining, machining, other novel processes, evaluation, and cost analyses
- Applications: status, aerospace, automotive, power generation, and others
- Data Compilation: mechanical, physical, chemical, thermodynamic, environmental, and others
- New Developments: modeling and future directions
This proceedings volume will give readers insight into the current status of both fundamental and applied R&D directions; property data sets that can be useful in alloy design, as well as designing actual parts and components; actual and emerging specific application areas of industrial interest; and future R&D areas and directions including prospective application areas.
The proceedings volume is edited by Young-Won Kim (UES, Inc.), Helmut Clemens (University of Leoben), and Andrew Rosenberger (US Air Force) and contains 67 papers presented at the Gamma Titanium Aluminides symposium at the 2003 TMS Annual Meeting. The proceedings is sponsored by the TMS Structural Materials Division.
More information about this and the hundreds of other proceedings volumes and textbooks is available through the TMS Document Center, http://doc.tms.org and through the society’s publications catalog.
