TMS and AIME Societies Offer Single Journal Subscription Rate
Warrendale, PA—TMS (The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society) and two of its sister societies in AIME (the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers) have determined a single subscription rate by which members of each society may purchase subscriptions to one another’s membership journals.
In 2005, members of TMS, SME (The Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration), and AIST (The Association for Iron and Steel Technology) can choose to purchase subscriptions to other AIME society journals for a flat rate of $75 each (for delivery to the United States, Canada, and Mexico) or $110 each (for delivery to other locations).
This year marks the first that the three societies have offered a single subscription rate to members. TMS members may choose to subscribe to Mining Engineering, the SME member journal; Iron & Steel Technology, the AIST member journal; or both at the same rate. Likewise, members of SME and AIST will be able to subscribe to JOM, the TMS member journal, at this discounted rate. TMS members will find the option to subscribe to Mining Engineering and Iron & Steel Technology on their 2005 dues bill.
