2003 TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition
March 2-6, 2003 * San Diego, CA

Don't miss the opportunity to learn and share information with your materials science and engineering colleagues in sunny San Diego, California!

Advance registration is now closed, but you may still register for the meeting on-site in the San Diego Convention Center, Hall A. Registration will open on Sunday, March 2 at 11:00 am.

2. Attend the ABET Evaluator Training Session
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shape the future of your profession by becoming an evaluator of college and university materials engineering programs. With the Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology (ABET), TMS selects and trains groups of qualified evaluators to visit schools and determine if programs meet accreditation standards.

An ABET Evaluator Training Session will be held March 2, 2003 in conjunction with the TMS Annual Meeting in San Diego. The session will begin at 10:30 AM and will conclude at 5:00 PM. Lunch will be provided, and there is no charge for the session.

6. Abstracts for the 2003 Device Research Conference Due February 21
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2003 Device Research Conference
June 23-25, 2003 * Salt Lake City, UT

The Device Research Conference is now accepting abstracts of papers to be presented during the conference in June 2003. Submit 25 copies of your paper along with the IEEE copyright form to Pallab Bhattacharya at the University of Michigan. The deadline to submit abstracts is February 21, 2003. The deadline for Late News entries is May 30, 2003.

7. February Publications Highlight Processing and Characterization Issues

10. Present New Research and New Products at MS&T ‘03

NOW ACCEPTING ABSTRACTS
MS&T ’03 is soliciting papers. The five spotlight symposia are Austenite Formation and Decomposition, Automotive Sheet Steels, Processing-Structure-Property-Performance Relationships, Process Modeling and Computer Applications, and Sheet and Flat Rolling. These, along with many other metals and materials topics will be featured at the meeting. Abstracts may be submitted via the web using the TMS Conference Management System at:
