Nano Society: KBK Teo and IYY Bu of Cambridge University created this (very) small version of the TMS logo, measuring 43 micrometers wide by 17 micrometers high, entirely from carbon nanotubes. The nanotubes, which measure approximately 2 micrometers in size each, were grown by plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition of acetylene and ammonia in the presence of nickel catalyst, patterned in the shape of the TMS logo.
