Welcome to the TMS News Room

The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society's newsletters are sent out regularly in an effort to keep TMS members and friends up to date on upcoming deadlines, events, conferences and symposia, and other news of interest. Additionally, the content of most newsletters can be viewed on-line.

TMS e-NEWS

TMS e-News is a monthly e-mailed newsletter that provides information on membership, meetings, publications, and other activities of interest. Send comments and suggestions regarding TMS e-News to newseditor@tms.org.

PUBLIC & GOV'T AFFAIRS NEWS

The Public & Governmental Affairs News area provides a list of news stories that have been gathered for the TMS Public & Governmental Affairs Resource Center.

PROFESSIONAL PREFACE

Also designed for students and their faculty leaders, Professional Preface is periodically printed and inserted in the society's journal, JOM. It offers information and advice on careers, outlines services available to student members, presents chapter activities, and includes other items of interest to the professional-to-be. A complete archive of past issues is available for your review.

FOUNDATION NEWS

TMS Foundation News is a newsletter that is distributed regularly in JOM. It provides information on the TMS Foundation.

The mission of the TMS Foundation is "To engage the finest young minds in the design, processing and application of materials by stimulating the dynamic evolution of our educational and professional infrastructures." As part of this mission, the Foundation seeks to develop and fund programs that fully prepare future generations of professionals for leadership roles in the international minerals, metals, and materials community. The periodic newsletter Foundation Focus documents some of these developments.
