Members of the TMS Materials and Society Committee recommend and organize activities in the areas of resource sustainability, specifically focusing on materials resource recovery and recycling; energy and the environment; and sustainable materials design and processing. The committee coordinates activities to make materials and society elements more pervasive in TMS.

Varies. Committee members attend meetings twice a year at the TMS Annual Meeting and at MS&T. A number of additional volunteer opportunities are also available within the committee.
