Join the Young Professionals Committee

If you are a professional member of TMS, aged 40 or younger, we encourage you to join the TMS Young Professionals Committee to fully explore your options for career development within TMS and to guide the Society's future activities in this area.

About the Committee

The mission of the TMS Young Professionals Committee is to create opportunities and provide avenues for young professionals to increase their involvement in TMS. Important issues that the Young Professionals Committee has identified and is working to address are:

  • Enabling networking between younger and senior members of TMS through a mentoring program
  • Developing programming that is useful to young professionals
  • Developing programming that addresses materials-based concerns for private industry
  • Fostering an appreciation for and awareness of TMS activities
