Scope: This topic covers hydrometallurgical and electrometallurgical processing for extraction and recycling of strategic materials, including elements such as light metals (e.g., Al, Mg, Ti, and electronic metalloid Si), rare earth metals (e.g., Re, Sc, Se, Na, Sr, Ta, Te, and W), as well as Sb, Bi, Ba, Be, B, Ca, Cr, Ga, Ge, Ha, In, Mn, Mo, and platinum group metals. We invite contributions including processing and physical and chemical properties related to the current and future extraction, recycling, and secondary recovery. Design of extraction equipment used in these processes will be included, as well as laboratory and pilot plant studies.
