Manuscript Submission Deadline: February 01, 2019
Guest Editor: Benjamin M. Morrow
Co-Guest Editors: Carl J. Boehlert
Sponsored By: Titanium
Publication Date: July 2019
Keywords: Advanced processing, characterization, lightweight materials, mechanical properties, physical properties, titanium
Scope: Titanium (Ti) and its alloys are used extensively in many industries due to their exceptional properties. Here, as a follow-on to a symposium at the 2018 Materials Science & Technology conference, we address recent advances in Ti research. Papers are sought addressing emerging or novel uses of titanium, and investigations with an emphasis on the interplay between processing, microstructure, properties, and performance are encouraged. Titanium and titanium alloys, including beta, alpha+beta, intermetallic alloys as well as titanium matrix composites will be applicable.
