Scope: Mg alloys are considered to be potential candidates for light-weighting in the transportation sector for improved performance and fuel economy. One of the "holy grail" applications has been automotive body panels, requiring scalable, low-cost, formable sheet production. Substantial research has been conducted in recent decades and this special topic invites submission of reviews on the advances made as well as of emerging research avenues e.g. friction stir processing, dynamic cutting extrusion, and twin-roll casting.

Original research papers should be 3,000-9,000 words with up to 12 figures maximum; review papers should be 6,000-11,000 words with up to 20 figures maximum.
