After a long absence, the popular column Archaeometallurgy
makes its return in
this month's issue with a new name, Archaeotechnology, and a new series
coordinator, Robert M. Ehrenreich. Better still, Archaeotechnology will be a
bimonthly department of the journal. Reflecting this revival, the cover
features illustrations from this month's installment, an examination of ancient
