JOM: Volume 48, Number 3--March 1996
ABOUT THE COVER
This issue includes a special edition of Metallurgraphics by L. William
Zahner, who describes the use of metals in architecture. As such, the cover
features the exterior of the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa, Florida.
Designed by Antoine Predock, the museum possesses an outer skin of blue
stainless steel sheet cut into triangles and curved to the radius of the
sphere. The blue color occurs as a result of light interference. For more
detail on this field, turn to page 14.
