Quote:
"It is an honor and privilege to receive the 2012 Vittorio de Nora prize for our work in the advancement of electrochemical processes for metal production. Vittorio de Nora was a visionary technologist and entrepreneur in the area of electrochemistry-based processing, and we are humbled to receive this award named after him. A global challenge of the 21st century is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and energy usage in the production of metals, and we believe electrolytic processes in general, and molten oxide electrolysis in particular will play a key role in answering this challenge. We would like to thank TMS for selecting us for this award, and we are grateful for the benefits of TMS membership to our careers."
