Subject: UMC May Meeting
The UMC spring meeting will be held back-to-back with the
Federation of Materials Societies Biennial
meeting. We will meet all day Wednesday, May 20, at the
Georgetown University Conference Center in
Salon C with lunch in Salon A. There will be coffee, tea
and pastries at 8:00 a.m., the meeting will begin
at 9:00 a.m. and finish by 4:00 p.m.
A block of rooms for the night of the 19th is being held
until April 29 ($125 single); please make your
reservation before the deadline (phone: 202-687-3200, fax:
202-687-3320).
Please send an e-mail to Dick Tressler to confirm your attendance so that we have a headcount for lunch.
The meeting expenses (lunch, breaks, and meeting rom) are
covered by your annual dues.
Taxi & Metro Service
Taxi fare is approximately $15 from National Airport (15
min) and $40 from Dulles Airport (40 min) and
a five minute cab ride from the Rosslyn and Dupont Circle
Metro.
Covered parking is available on the premises at the rate
of $12 per day or $2 per hour.
Georgetown Univ. Transportation Shuttle
The university provides bus service to the Dupont Circle
and Rosslyn Metro Stations during the week.
The bus leaves from the Leavey Center and runs every 20
minutes from 7:00 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to
7:00 p.m., and every 30 minutes from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30
p.m., Monday through Friday.
