Health and Safety at TMS2022

Your safe participation in TMS2022 is our priority. As we prepare for a return to the in-person TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition, TMS, in partnership with our event venues, is complying with guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and relevant state and local authorities. Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test is required to attend TMS2022. We have partnered with a third party, VOW Digital Health, to qualify credentials and maintain the privacy of our registrants.

Prior to the conference, TMS will send an e-mail with instructions and a link to all registered attendees so that they can begin the COVID-19 clearance process prior to arriving in Anaheim through our partner, VOW Digital Health. Please note that this information is being sent to the e-mail you registered with. For your convenience, you can access the VOW TMS2022 link here. For those registrants entering non-US phone numbers during the account set-up process, please include the country code.

TMS is sending e-mails with instructions to all registered attendees detailing how they can begin the COVID-19 clearance process prior to arriving in Anaheim through our partner, VOW Digital Health. Data captured while on VOW Digital Health is used for the purpose of helping you set up an account and ensuring you are cleared prior to your arrival. Images uploaded to VOW Digital Health will be purged shortly after the event ends. Attendee information is not used for promotional purposes.

Please Note: We highly suggest creating an account with VOW and uploading the necessary documents ahead of your arrival in Anaheim to ensure a smooth clearance onsite. For your convenience, you can access the VOW TMS2022 link here. For those registrants entering non-US phone numbers during the account set-up process, please include the country code.

Two Options for COVID Clearance

Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test is required to attend TMS2022. Those attending TMS2022, including guests, must provide ONE of the following:

  • Vaccine Record: Your vaccination series must be fully completed no less than 14 days prior to the date of the event. This is the waiting period that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control considers for a person to be fully vaccinated.

OR

  • Negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen or PCR Test Results: Either a PCR taken within 48 hours or Rapid Antigen taken within 24 hours from a pharmacy or testing/healthcare facility prior to the event.  No at-home tests are accepted.

If Clearing by Vaccine

  • Prior to your arrival in Anaheim, you will be able to upload a photo of your government-issued photo ID and vaccine record.
  • You will not be considered fully cleared until you complete the CDC Health Screening (a series of simple questions about any current symptoms you may be experiencing). These screening questions will be sent to you the morning of Sunday, February 27, by VOW Digital Health
  • Once you have completed the CDC Health Screening questions, you will receive a notification by text of your clearance status.
  • Present your "Cleared" notification at the COVID checkpoint located at the outside ticket booth nearest the Hall C entrance at the Anaheim Convention Center on the first day you will be participating in the conference. Look for the TMS2022 COVID Checkpoint flags.
  • Once staff members have confirmed your clearance, you will receive a wristband to wear for the duration of the conference. You can then proceed to Registration inside the Convention Center to pick up your badge and materials. You will not need to pass through the COVID checkpoint again as long as you keep your wristband.

If Clearing by Negative COVID-19 Test

  • Prior to your arrival in Anaheim, you will be able to create an account and upload a photo of your government-issued photo ID, but you will not be considered COVID cleared until you upload your COVID-19 test results (based on the time frames and rules mentioned above) and complete the CDC Health Screening (a series of simple questions about any current symptoms you may be experiencing).
  • The health screening questions will be sent to you the morning of Sunday, February 27, by VOW Digital Health. Once you have completed the CDC Health Screening questions, you will receive a notification by text of your clearance status.

If You Bring a Guest

Your guest must create a separate account and follow the same process to be COVID cleared. Please do not upload information for guests to your account. You can simply forward your email with the VOW Digital Health link to your guest to create their account.

If You Register On-Site

Please bring your photo ID and proof of vaccination or negative test results directly to the COVID checkpoint located at the outside ticket booth nearest the Hall C entrance of the Anaheim Convention Center on the day of the event, and staff will help you through the clearance process. Look for the TMS2022 COVID Checkpoint flags. Please make sure to leave adequate time to complete the clearance and registration process before your first scheduled event of the day.

Mask Requirements and Other Safety Measures

Additional safety measures and precautions that TMS and our venue partners have in place for TMS2022 include the following.

Mask Requirements

Masks must be worn properly in all TMS2022 event spaces, except when giving a presentation at the podium or actively eating or drinking. If you do not have a mask, we will have some available on request. Please note that this requirement will remain in effect for all TMS2022 activities, even if state and local mandates change before the event opens.

Outdoor Lunch Options

Food trucks will be stationed in the Grand Plaza outside of the Anaheim Convention Center on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during the meeting, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to provide attendees with a convenient outdoor dining option. Each attendee will receive a $15 voucher with their registration materials to be used once during TMS2022.

Water Fill Stations/Water Service

To minimize contact, the convention center has installed 30 water bottle fill stations throughout the facility.

Cashless Transactions

The Anaheim Convention Center has gone cashless. Moving forward, only credit or debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay will be accepted at locations that require payment, such as parking and food stand locations. Additionally, all ATMs in the lobbies have been removed.

What To Do If You're Sick

Anyone who is advised to isolate or quarantine based on current Centers for Disease Control guidelines cannot attend TMS2022 events. When a registrant is clear of restrictions, that registrant is welcome. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and wish to get tested, you can visit one of the local testing facilities listed on this page.

Updates from Our Host Locations

TMS continually monitors the COVID-19 situation and the latest guidance on health and safety protocols. Because circumstances change rapidly, we encourage attendees to visit the following sites to learn the most-up-to-date information from our conference venues, as well as from local and national health organizations.

TMS COVID-19 Statement

By registering for TMS2022, all attendees acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions of the TMS COVID-19 Release and Hold Harmless Agreement. TMS also asks that you NOT attend TMS2022 if you are subject to the quarantine or isolation guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as refined by the Orange County, California, Health Department.

We also ask attendees to work with us to follow all federal, state, local, venue, and CDC guidelines and will keep you informed as to how those guidelines pertain to TMS2022. We appreciate your cooperation in these matters as we look forward to convening in-person again.

Message from Our Executive Director
