Quote: “Membership and opportunity to discuss aluminum technology and the platform to present papers at Annual Meetings since 1962 in New York has meant a great deal to me personally and in enhancement of my professional responsibilities. This particular recognition is ‘icing on the cake.’ It has the additional aspect of recognizing the unique teamwork of the Norwegian Aluminum Industry who underwrote the proposal offered by Prof. Thonstad (NTNU) and Dr. Rolseth (SINTEF) based upon my suggestion and implemented by Mr. Gudbrandsen (SINTEF) and myself—a representative of a transatlantic aluminum company.”
