Powder Materials for Additive Manufacturing and Beyond: Powder Properties and Handling to Improve Part Quality and Overall Safety

Date: October 6, 2024
Time: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: David L. Lawrence Convention Center, 411

This workshop will provide information about powder characteristics and properties, including the influences of the production method, handling, and storage to maximize the quality of the powders and thus the final consolidated parts. Throughout the course safety will be emphasized, with specific discussions of how various powder attributes affect the ease of handling and the required safety measures. Metal, ceramic, and polymer powders will be covered, as well as various powder characterization methods including flow, morphology, particle size distribution, density, and chemical composition.

Advance registration is required for this workshop.
