Professional Registration Committee

The Professional Registration Committee is one of the TMS Functional Committees.

Our Mission: The Professional Registration Committee effectively prepares and manages the Metallurgical Professional Engineering Exam. It liaisons with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), the NCEES Participating Organizations Liaison Committee, the NCEES Committee on Examinations for Professional Engineers, and the National Society of Professional Engineers. This committee recognizes Professional Engineers and encourages licensure.

Item Writing Workshops are scheduled twice annually for the purpose of writing and reviewing items for the exam. Membership in this committee is restricted to those who have achieved the PE designation.
