In this new ear of automotive, i.e. electric vehicle, improvement of the gas mileage of the internal combustion engine is still important. Technology is always challenging, otherwise, we can't make a new discovery.

- Quote: Magnesium alloys are promising light alloys with increasing application in automobile, aerospace and other fields, but there are many challenges to increase their application. Lightened Mg piston will result in increasing output power, reducing oil use and exhausting remarkably, Piston is the most grindingly part which works long-term at high temperature, high speed, high pressure and burning condition. We study and develop high strength Heat-resistant Mg-RE alloys for piston and fabricated piston from the Mg-RE alloys. Some primary results are exciting and promising, and further correlative study will be necessary. We expect more study and cooperation on that.
