Scope: Magnesium alloys, owing to their high specific strength, are widely being investigated for a range of structural applications such as in automotive, aerospace, and electronics packaging industries. However, their poor corrosion resistance limits the application of magnesium alloys in multi-material systems. Magnesium, being the most anodic of the structural materials, is susceptible to galvanic corrosion and corrodes severely when interfaced with popular structural alloys such as aluminum and steel. This topic will try to address these concerns with papers that address this corrosion challenge in novel way.
