Use this form to register to attend the 40th Electronic Materials Conference (EMC), which will be held June 24-26, 1998, at the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, Virginia. The meeting is sponsored by the Electronic Materials Committee of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society's (TMS's) Electronic, Magnetic & Photonic Materials Division. The deadline for registering before the conference is June 12, 1998. Subsequent to this date, it will be necessary to register at the meeting (at a slightly higher cost). A housing reservation form will become available soon as an Adobe Acrobat portable document format file.

About Registering as a Member
To register at the member rate, you must be a member of either The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) or the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). NOTE: If you register as a nonmember, you may join TMS for the remainder of 1998 for $42.50 by completing and submitting the TMS Membership Application.)

About a Conference Proceedings
There is no formal proceedings volume published to document the presentations delivered at the EMC. However, special issues of the Journal of Electronic Materials (JEM) often present the proceedings of individual symposia held at the conference (as well as other meetings--for examples, see the JEM conference proceedings page). Therefore, several conference registration options include an annual subscription to JEM.

Cancellations/Refunds
To cancel your registration, you must notify TMS in writing of your request for a refund. Refunds will be issued upon receipt of written notice, less a $30 service charge. TMS will not honor requests made more than two weeks after the close of the meeting.
