The Annual Meeting and JOM offer the opportunity to present ideas and experience to colleagues worldwide. This does not only refer to scientific work but to practice-oriented experience and developments as well. Therefore, to be honored with the JOM Best Paper Award means very much to me and I am proud that I was able to contribute a little share to the development of aluminum technology."
