- Quote: The TMS Foundation has galvanized my path towards a career in materials engineering. Before this scholarship, I was unsure whether or not it would be a worthwhile investment to continue my education in materials engineering. But with this award, I am now less burdened by the financial prospects of education and motivated to work and study harder. This scholarship is proof that the work ethnic of students does not get unnoticed. TMS has inspired me and will continue to inspire the next generation of materials engineers for decades to come.

- Quote: This award serves as a portrayal of my good work and achievements during my collegiate career. This scholarship award from TMS is greatly appreciated, and I am glad I could be awarded for the hard work and dedication I have demonstrated in materials science. My Material Advantage membership has been an awesome experience because I have had the opportunity to witness commercial and academic applications of materials science, as well as be a part of a growing society of materials engineers on campus. This opportunity has taught me what it means to be a materials engineer, and has made me excited for what is to come after graduation. I am looking forward to using the knowledge and skills I have learned throughout my education and work experience in a most useful way working as a professional materials scientist, and I accept this award as a reminder to keep up the good work.
